Here are some shots from the type of locations that really make me very excited! For this article I will be doing some long exposure strobist lighting, in order to get some more dramatic look! The model is on a rock and not really able to move too much! Also I am having a making video for the photoshoot, make sure you check it out and also subscribe to my YouTube channel!
Lighting
For this shot I am using 2 bare strobess, the Nissin MG8000, since as you notice from the setup shots it was really hard to use any stands, and accessories!! You can see in the strobist video above how the location actually looks like! ! I’m using the Canon 24mm/1.4 lens this time! For this shot I wanted both, long shutter speed, and shallow depth of field, so in order to achieve that I was using a ND-16 Filter to get the shutter speed as low as 1/4 sec, which created the movement in the sea! I’m triggering my strobes by Cactus V6 triggers, which are really handy if you want to be ale to control your flash power remotely, and in this location that was a really big factor since it was not so easy for me to go and change power settings! Of course I am using a tripod to set the camera!
